The
topaz is the gem of the sun. It is most often golden yellow in color.
Ancient Egyptians
associated the gem with Ra, the sun god. They
believed it protected the wearer from harm.
For the Romans,
the topaz was associated with Jupiter, god of the sun.
The Greeks
believed the stone would increase the strength of the wearer.
Topaz is also
believed to improve vision, both eyesight and intuitive
sight.
